Installation of transformer substations in Atyrau

We offer installation services for electrical equipment of power plants, transformer substations and complete transformer substations.

What do we offer?

Installation of transformer substations is a highly important and responsible process essential for ensuring stable and reliable power supply.

Transformer substations serve as a key element in power systems, as they enable the conversion and distribution of electrical energy at various voltage levels, ensuring its efficient use. When installed correctly and in accordance with all technical requirements, they significantly improve power supply quality, minimize energy losses, and ensure an uninterrupted electricity supply to consumers.

Types of complete transformer substations:

1. Kiosk-type

It has a complex design and includes several sections that ensure safe and reliable operation and maintenance. It is typically installed in a metal enclosure or placed in dedicated buildings. Installation in residential and industrial facilities is permitted if suitable premises are available.

2. Pole-mounted

With a capacity of up to 250 kVA, designed to supply power to utility and small-scale facilities.

3. Pole-type

Designed to supply electricity to small and private facilities. Due to the placement of all modules in metal enclosures, safety requirements are not as strict. However, in areas with a high concentration of people, precautionary measures must be observed. In such cases, lightweight barriers are installed to prevent unauthorized access to hazardous zones.

Work stages:

Preparatory works

At this stage, the location for the substation installation is selected in accordance with all technical requirements and regulations. It is important to conduct geodetic surveys, develop design documentation, and obtain all necessary permits. Earthworks and foundation preparation are also part of this initial phase.

Installation and assembly

This stage requires strict compliance with design documentation and the use of specialized lifting equipment. The transformer is transported to the site and installed on the prepared foundation. After that, high-voltage and low-voltage connections, as well as external grounding systems, are installed. At this stage, it is crucial to ensure proper grounding to guarantee safe operation and minimize the risk of emergency situations.

Installation of auxiliary systems and equipment

These may include switchgear, power cables, control and protection systems, as well as cooling and ventilation systems. Each of these systems requires thorough inspection and testing before commissioning. At the same time, commissioning works are carried out, which include testing all electrical connections, verifying transformer and auxiliary equipment operating parameters, and performing control measurements of grounding parameters.

Commissioning works

At the final stage, a comprehensive system check is carried out, including functional tests and verification of interaction between different substation components. After that, the facility is commissioned, accompanied by the preparation of all necessary documents and reports. The final step involves training the personnel who will operate and maintain the transformer substation. This ensures the facility’s reliable and safe operation in the long term.
